He was apparently spotted by MSV as a talented singer. MSV gave
him the song "yendi muthammaa" in "aaru pushpangal". CB later
became an MD in "Madhura geetham". Apparently SM Subbaiah Naidu
gave a request for the song "sugamaana raagam suvyaana thamizh
paattu"(sung by TMS & Sirkazhi) on Thenkinnam, a famous Radio 
Madras programme. Other hits:
Maampoove siru mainaave - Machaana paatheengalaa
Maalai muthu maalai - Madhavi vanthaal
santhosha nerangal - Paarvayin marupakkam
indhira lokhame - Ponnu pidichirukku

He also did music for "saranam ayyappaa" in which Kamal sang
a song "annaa vaadaa thambi vaadaa". His another good song:
"Odayinna nalloda"(raajaathi rojaakkili").

He was aasthaana MD for AVM during one period("Manithan",
"Thaai mel aanai",etc.). 

During his early days, he was part of the music troup
called Moses-Deva with none other than our Deva!
