i think they were almost perfect when together.although MSV had a good innings as a single MD and TR had a few feeble attempts, the magic was never there .what do you chaps feel?

The combo produced a lot more sophisticated arrangement, IMHO...in the sense, their music was much sweeter to the ears (like Raja's & MSV-IR combo's)...
MSV's solo ventures, though often brilliant and with tough melodies, can at best be compared with the achievements of KVM. IMO or guess, he could not focus much on the instrumental portion after the pair broke (or left it to people like Joseph Krishna)...

MSV-TKR's music is what makes me want to hear them repeatedly! I don't know anything about the technicalities but still I feel MSV (minus TKR)'s music is more aggressive...

Well, I think it is of no use to compare MSV-TKR vs. MSV alone. Why did the split up occur?
