I think the song "Kannamoochi" with a violin interlude in KKKK is ARR's imitation of IR's excellent song "Meettadha oru veenai" in Poonthottam. Same with "Rukkumani, Rukkumani" in Roja - response to IR's "Raakkamma Kaiya thattu" in Thalapathi. So, I think he got the idea from IR. What you guys think? Are there any more?

The violin interlude is mainly an effort from Sriram parsuram. They would have had a session and ARR would have asked him to give some grooves or loops in that scale. Its well played and ARR gives credit for that in his album cover.
I do'nt think its an imitation from "Meettadha oru veenai" maybe an "Inspiration".

Another thread to discuss the never-ending debate on IR-ARR comparisons. I dont agree with this particular observation by Krish Chandra.
Anyway, I also dont think we need a separate thread to discuss this issue. It could very well be discussed under the scope of many other similar IR-ARR threads.

This thread is not to discuss who is superior - IR or ARR. That's not my intention. I came to this conclusion after listening to the these songs. What I am saying is that he may have (may not have!) listened to these songs before composing. May be 'inspiration' is an euphemism that we can use (thanks to Anand).
