This is HJ's first Telugu (not considering Minnale's dubbed version) starring Venkatesh and Bhumika. Songs are typical telugu'ish with words like 'sportive boys, spicy girls'!!!!

Harris' new album evokes zero response....! Is the HJ magic over? Or is that because this is a Telugu album?

my 3 personal favourites are Paadana theeyaga, O prema and Prathakku pranam.I wonder whether the sound would be dubbed into Tamil, or maybe Harris Jeyaraj might use the tunes for a tamil project.
here is a run down of what I thought of the songs
1. Sportive boys and spicy girls
less said about this number the better,it was a shocker.Nothing appealed to me in this song.
reminded me of some ARR's number from "Super Police" along the lines of "Chinna kuttiyo singariyo" , some really nice flute intreludes, again the flute solo and the progression had resemblance kind of like Thiruda Thiruda BGM flute solos (Anand asking Heera to forget him)
3. O prema O prema.
I liked this creation, it was a simple, nice tune with a very hook.very up beat.cool song to Boogie down. It's full of youthness (if that's a word)
this song sounds so 80's that I loved it so much,a catchy, repetetive base The kind of music you would hear Flyboy or Andy play in their compilations, the giutr riffs, I loved the veena (or some other plucked instrument) in the second intrelude. my mates were on the dance floor for this one, I'm curious weather if this song would work if it was made in tamil.
this song opens with an ochestral fanfare and the interludes are full of strings, reminded me of some old Ilaiyaraja number, maybe because of it's style or something, anyway I'll find the track that it sonds similar to (some Karthik movie)
This song is so beautiful, everything about it so divine, a poetical, melodious ballad by S.P.Bala, it stands out from the rest of the songs in the album.the song opens with a string ochestra accompanying S.p.B, follwed by a familair chord progression with a guitar and the main tune is revealed, there are some beautiful solos in this one. I believe this is the first time S.P.B has sung for Harris Jeyaraj. The choral harmony in the first interlude sounds very much like the humming that comes at the start of the song of TAal/Taalam Nahe samne/ kalai maane, nice work.

Good album for a telugu movie. Mani sharma is another talented guy, but he is forced to do all mass songs for that bala kitti. I downloaded 3 mp3 files, O prema, Paadana and Paataku pranam. All 3 show traces of some Rahman's songs, but stand apart on their own, no complaints. Interludes are really good. Good and different songs for a venki movie.
