  Ilay-Mani-Rajini team might be a news, but this Marudhanayagam stuff is as good as Telugu Ganga Project for TamilNadu. I believe even TG water might find its way to Madras sooner or later. But, you can never say anything about Kamalhaasan, for, he shall keep everyone guessing, by saying something. (And whatever he says, right from day one, is totally unintelligible, and thats a different topic,altogether !!)
  This MNayagam stuff is in the air for more than 2 years (may be 4 years ago?) now, and he has Ilay's music on the records for all quality reasons. He proposed a budget of INR 5 Crore some 2 years ago. Do you still think he will work on it? May be now he can at least keep himself engaged by working on it !!!

  I read somewhere that Rajni has planned to do 2 movies, one with Manirathnam and the other with Suresh Krishna. It was mentioned that he also decided ARR as the music director. Do not know whether they were referring to one of the movies or both. I would personally love to have Raja compose. Can anyone confirm whether it is mani- raja team or mani-arr?

  I wonder if people really read again on what they write !! I am referring to criticisms about Kamal Hassan. What uninteligible talking has he made - even if so, what is lost and who has lost ? When politicians who need to bring the country to great heights do such things - we bear it. Cinema - is called the Dream Industry - what is lost if someone says something and does not keep his words. People can show such reactions to politicians instead and would atleast be helpful to bring awareness in the society. Also, do not forget to remember 'Kamalhassan' has played and plays an important and undisputed role in bringing quality cinema to Tamizh viewers - would not have come to this stage of winning awards and credits from all regions of India, hindi stars lining to enter into tamizh cinema - without efforts like Kamal, Mani, ARR, etc.,

  Bhaskaran's response of 5th sept to kamal's detractor's was too good.But for Kamal Tamil cinema would not have been talked about in the international cinema even today.Infact i saw the clippings of queen's visit to the shooting spot in Madras to see the shooting of Marudhanayagam.so it;s really on guys and it has been launched on the web y'day as per the latest from sun TV.can anybody get that site and let me know

  I saw the 'Marudanaayagam' film pooja function & the Queen Elizabeth II 's visit to the shooting spot on the SUN TV. The programme went on for more than an hour and was really good. Kamal presented it in a great way. It was a lucky turn of events for kamal for having such an estinguished guest that too for a film which revolves around the freedom fight against British Raj. As Kamal put it, 'I had the opportunity to speak partiotic dialogues in front of the British Queen herself, the opportunity which people like Veerpandiya Kattabomman, Vellaya Thevan did not have in reality. He added that he was more proud of the event for he could present before the Queen the vast and wide range of Indian talent - he described how he introduced Sivaji, SPB, Cho, Asha Bhosle, a photograph taken by P.C. Sriram, Rajini Kanth, etc., He said he was immensely proud to show the photograph taken by of PC Sriram to the Queen. He said if time had permitted, he could have elaborated more on Sivaji, Balamurali Krishna, Asha Bhosle, etc.,
  
  People like Gopal Prasad & Sathish Subramanian should watch this trailer. Kamal explains how all this happened - he said how situations had forced him to withdraw from the project which had its inception as early as 1990. It helps one understand why certain things are easily spoken than done - if Kamal had not taken this project again for the reasons he mentions in the programme, it would been a great opportunity to such people to talk that he is always 'unintelligible' and so on. I liked the reaction of Bhaskaran for this. Praise whatever good happens to Indian Cinema - do not wear tinted glasses and view things based on the person who does it.
