saw Tirunelveli - it is a good film with very good songs. Prabhu has acted in a different role and is better than his earlier performances with less dialogues.IR's BGM and songs are really worth mentioning. Can you all post your reviews of the movie and also mention something about music also ?

I do not know why all of a sudden there are so many threds on review of new films (most of them are thrash, including Thirunelveli)
Since you have started already, here are some of my openion
Guys in my honest openion,
THIRUNELVELI: Guys this is another "sori" movie, only few songs are woth hearing, in movie they are usual mediocre stuff or less than average, nothing to write about BGM, I do not know how long TN makkal will enjoy such stupid sentimental, village based stories (Even Kamal made movies like Devar Magan , again village based , just look at the difference), not worth watching even on video, the only good thing about this movie is Vivek's sensible reawakening messages he tries to spread among the vilage folks.
Kannukul Nilavu: A very mediocre movie by Faazil, no way comparable to any of his old movies, I have watched most of Faazil's films including some of his Malayalam movies, but this movie is not even close to be an average movie ecept for IR's BGM and songs (Just fantastic, so if you like IR worth trying), Vijay is pathetic and irritating at times, he is no way close to any of his current competitors at least in acting (I know the great TN fans have a different openion, some projecting him to be successor of Rajini, by virtue of his continuous hits in 1997 and 1998, this is the biggest joke I had to laugh from my rear end for this guys contribution to tamil film, all his movies had reasonable characters inwhich any current frontline heroes would have succeeded)
SETHU:I know this is old, but if some body has not seen this movie yet, worth trying for many reasons,
1. Good debut attempt by Bala (Balu Mahendra's assistant), reasonably well narrated and well made movie could have taken little more and meticuolous care in handling the Amnesia subject , like how Manirathnam does in his movies.
2.Great BGM by IR, just fantastic and aptly picturised songs, especially the climax song, as somebody pointed in other thread makes you cry listening to Maestro's perfect rendition of "vaarthai Tavari viitaay " song
3. Incredible acting by Vikram (one of the very underrated yet with lot of potential and talents in acting, easily the best among the latest crop of newcomers) and good acting by the heroine and the friend charecter of hero (he is just amazing in some sequences)
All in my openion
