On stage monitoring for a live show.
i do a lot of live shows. i just bought myself a EW 300 IEM (in-ear monitor) sennheiser.
how does one mix what the singer listens on the stage and reduce other unwanted noise on stage.
I would welcome any suggestions/reco's.
thanks in advance.

How much does it cost.I paid quite a bit for my Shure monitors.Ask ur sound engineer to give u only keyboard chords and a bit of rhythm along with ur dry unprocessed voice in a sound level u feel comfortable. An in ear definitely helps u judge ur pitching much better and u shout less. But u can never be perfect on stage.Only two singers r near perfect on stage. One is the great S.P.B. who uses Shure monitors and the other one is Shankar Mahadevan who does not use any in ears

is it the popular Shreeni...?
the Sennheiser EW 300 IM cost me about $760 (christmas gift to myself!!). the IM works great.i tried it out during the practice. and I will let you know after this weekend show ;-)
you are right. shankar doesnt need any monitors. he's always on a roll. The Great, i guess uses it to sing his best melodies.
