Mr. Manisegaran,
I always wondered about Loganathan and Govidarajan singing the same songs `Vanameethil' and `Kongu naattu' in records, but in the film `Komathiyin Kathalan' only S.Govidarajan's version could be heard. Today I happened to go through the old responses in this section and it appears that you have spoken about this with Mr.Govidarajan. Would you mind sharing the news with us?
Is `Komathiyin Kathalan' the first movie for Seergali G? I remember hearing his voice in old MGR film `En Thangai', but I am not 100% sure.

This thread on Sudharsanam MD needs a mention about AVM logos asthanam music director. He was the FIRST to compose for Bharathi songs. Later G.Ramanathan and CR Subburaman. His hits like Kanna Karumai nira kanna had excellent team work where he attributed the tune to his Clarionet player, ?Kesavalu or Kothandaraman, who created the melody first, which was later improvised by Sudharsanam.
AA and Manisegaran - The first song for Sirkali G is Siripputhaan varuguthayya in the movie Ponvayal by Kalki.
Regarding Vaamameethil song in Gomathiyin kadhalan Sirkali Gs version is the authentic original version which was presented by the film producers to the recording company. Saraswathi stores, which was a famous recording company those days, took a grab on the songs popularity with a 'duplicate' recording, now proudly called as cover-version, which was sung by Trichy Loganathan.
In the tutlege of the olden days, "Sathyameva Jayathe", the original always lasts longer. Like wise Sirkali Gs song original version is still lingering as a feast to the ears.
